Save Me (Salvation)

According to many of the churches out there, there are many ways to be saved.  Unfortunately they have added to God's Word.  Some will say you have to be baptized either as a child or as an adult. Some say you have to worship on a particular day of the week, others say you must speak in tongues.  Some even go as far as saying that salvation is partly through God, and the rest is given to you through their church. The Word of God says that these are all wrong ways to seek salvation.  In the Word of God salvation is ours free for the asking, and there are only a few things we need to know to receive salvation.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

"But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

Knowing the words above there is only one thing you need to do to be saved, and when you are ready, go to God in prayer.

Father in Heaven, I ask you to hear my prayer.  I realize that I am a sinner, and  I ask that you would forgive me for all the sinful things that I have done in my life.  God, I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross, and that He died for all my sins, that on the third day He was raised from the dead.  Jesus I ask that you would come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
